Levi-Strausse: Binary opposites

Levi-Strausse' theory explains that music videos contain one binary opposite and something which has conflict between them. He said that no narrative is needed and only one opposite is needed, no more.

His theory can be effective because; 

because there is no set way of showing his theory it makes it creative.

this therefore makes it interesting to watch and so they understand it they watch it again. 

Also the opposite can be between anything it at all. 

It can also be non effective because: 

constant battle to focus on that instead of the lyrics

they may not understand 

and it goes against Goodwins rules. 

through doing this task we have realised that levi's theory is a possible way we could do our music video as it makes more sense that Todorovs as it fits our genre. it sparked the idea we could have the binary opposite of freedom and trapped or fast and slow and therefore this idea could work in our video.
